Neighborhood Watch programs are one of the most cost-effective community safety interventions in the United States. They rely on coordination between law enforcement agencies, community volunteers, and local government — coordination that produces enormous amounts of meeting data, action items, and institutional knowledge that typically vanishes.
NNWI.ai exists to capture that knowledge, structure it, and produce the kind of auditable records that allow these programs to demonstrate their effectiveness to grant reviewers, oversight bodies, and the communities they serve.

What NNWI.ai is: A system by which a verified public-safety agency can govern otherwise independent resident Neighborhood Watch groups, conduct structured meetings with them, preserve consent and authority boundaries, turn those meetings into verifiable official records, and produce auditable evidence of the agency/community activity without converting residents into agency actors.
A community safety program that can't prove it held meetings, tracked action items, and produced outcomes cannot access federal funding. A program that can't demonstrate what it did last year cannot plan what it will do next year. A program that loses records when a coordinator changes loses its institutional memory entirely.
NNWI.ai treats governance not as compliance overhead — but as the core product. The meeting record is not a byproduct of the platform. It is the point.
Nonprofit status creates conservative operating discipline by default — appropriate for a platform handling sensitive law enforcement and community coordination data.
NNWI.ai pilot agencies have a direct pathway to official Neighborhood Watch signs and materials from NNWI.org, the only NNW-approved vendor for these signs — the physical infrastructure of the program.
NNWI.ai's audit trail is designed with NIJ CrimeSolutions evidence standards in mind. NNWI.ai has not been reviewed or rated by CrimeSolutions, and no rating is implied.
Phase 1 participation is offered at no cost to agencies. The pilot generates the evidence record that justifies the grant funding that supports the platform's expansion.
